The lay and professional public can see this year’s winning and nominated photographs and caricatures at the “No Comment” exhibition at the Open Gallery in Bratislava. The exhibition features more than 100 photographs and caricatures published in Slovak periodic press as commentary of last year’s important political and social events. After Bratislava the exhibition will be moved to Presov’s MAX shopping centre where it will be open until August 30th.

The fifth annual competition registered the highest number of participants in the history of the Journalism Award – 501 authors and 911 competition entries. The juries nominated three to four entries in all 13 categories. The winners of the individual categories were then selected by the jury members. The names of the winners were announced at the official ceremony at the Meteorit theater in Bratislava on April 24th.

The Journalism Award competition is open to all journalists, media professionals and members of the public. The goal of the award is to attract attention to high-quality journalism and to initiate professional discussion about the state of Slovak journalism. The long-term goal of the competition is to contribute to the improvement of quality and professionalism of Slovak journalism.
